The
following is a list of main responsibilities for positions in our processing area.
Processing positions are all located in indoor, climate controlled facilities. Please
specify on your application which position(s) will be most suitable for you based
on skills and experience. Positions Office
Help Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform general office tasks. Requirements include phone and computer
skills. Additional responsibilities will vary depending on department.
Candler/Case
Packer/B-Picker Responsibilities:
Must be able to read and understand order sheets, stand for entire shift and must
be able to pack cartons or flats of eggs in cases, on carts or in baskets. Also
involves inspecting the inside and outside of the egg.

Handler Responsibilities:
Must be able to lift 50-60lbs. repetitively. This position supplies skids of eggs
from receiving cooler to processing line. Will be trained to run electric jack
and will also assist the loader operator. This position also requires standing
for the entire shift. Loader
Operator Responsibilities:
Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift 50-60 lbs. repetitively. This
position starts the processes by loading flats of eggs onto the processing line.
Egg
Loader Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for making sure that the eggs are properly supplied
to the pre-loader line in order to keep the line running smoothly.
Must be able to continuously lift 50 lbs and bend frequently. Bossie
Puller Rotation with Case Stacker Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for pulling all bossies to the proper areas in the
cooler and keeping adequate supply of empty bossies at the overwrap area, as well
as assisting where necessary on the overwrap line. Must be literate and have basic
math skills; ability to monitor more than one task at a time; good communication
skills; good organization skills. Machine
Operator Responsibilities:
This position supplies cartons and maintains 10 packers. Must have ability to
handle a variety of items, read production schedule and stand for the length of
the shift. Case
Stacker Responsibilities:
Must be able to lift 50-60lbs. repetitively, read and understand production sheet
and possess general math skills. Standing required. Bio-Security
Responsibilities:
Thorough cleaning of all farm equipment coming back from the farms. Must be able
to stand for entire shift, work with little supervision and be willing to fill
in where needed. Line
Leader Responsibilities:
Involves making necessary changes to egg processing machines - setting dates,
weights, sizes and filling with cartons. Also involves printing of various needed
reports on daily production and assisting supervisor with the operation of the
line. Floater
Responsibilities:
Must keep the case packing area supplied with materials at all times. Must be
able to read and understand production sheet, stand for entire shift and must
be able to communicate with co-workers. Rework
Responsibilities:
Handles any repackaging of product. This position also assists on the line in
time of need. Requires standing for entire shift and a variety of tasks. Sanitation
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include post-production cleanup of equipment and facilities.
Responsible for dismantling, thorough cleaning, and re-assembly of all equipment
according to USDA and company specifications. Must be able to work in a cool,
wet environment with little supervision, and stand for entire shift. Shipping
Clerk Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include properly loading and unloading of all trucks coming in
and out of plant in a timely and correct fashion to coincide with invoices for
each order. Must be able to work in a cool environment, have basic math ability,
and work a flexible work schedule including overtime. Receiving
Clerk Responsibilities:
Responsible for organizing eggs and supplies in the cooler. Verify, unload, and
weight cartons of eggs upon receipt. Must pull supplies when the processing lines
need them for current orders. Finished
Product Coordinator Responsibilities
include transporting egg cases to the cooler, verifying the number of cases with
the Order sheet to make sure orders are complete, and inputting the order information
and data into the computer. Must possess organization skills and the ability to
handle multiple tasks at once. Cart
Repair Responsible
for the daily repair and preventative maintenance on farm carts (3-tier wooden
carts) and bossies (3-tier metal carts). Essential duties include keeping
wheels on cargs greased and welding hinges and brackets onto carts. Skills
should include being able to operate an electric grinder, a drill press, an impact
wrench, and other basic tools. Must be able to bend and squat and lift 15 pounds.
Applicant should be quality minded and detail oriented. Maintenance
Mechanic Responsible
for maintaining facility processing equipment. Skills should include: welding,
fabrication, pneumatics, power transmission drives and an electrical background.
Applicant should be quality minded and detail oriented. Truck
Mechanic Responsibilities
include general mechanical duties to trucks. Truck
Driver Responsibilities
include delivering product to the customers in a timely manner. Focus on safe
driving. Learn multiple routes. Be flexible with scheduling. Requirements: Class
A CDL license; Clean driving record; Over 21 years of age. Driver's
Helper Responsibilities
include assisting the driver in knowing routes and specific store details. Help
with loading & unloading of product. Be prompt and courteous to customers.
Help secure load and fill out paperwork. Yard
Jockey Qualified
candidates should have previous experience, good organization skills, and possibly
a CDL, but not necessary. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00pm until
finished, approximately 45-55 hours per week. Truck
Washer Responsibilities
include exterior washing of both the tractors and the trailers. Hard-Cooking
Quality Control Responsibilities:
Check Ph levels of product for Good Mart customers. Perform checks of product
on production line. Test product weights. Must be able to stand for entire shift
and work in a cool, wet environment. Hard-Cooking
Packer/Peeler/Inspector Responsibilities:
Pack and inspect the hard cooked eggs. Must be able to stand for entire shift
and work in a cool, wet environment. Hard-Cooking
Pickling Responsibilities:
Processing of pickled eggs; This position performs a variety of tasks. Must be
able to stand for entire shift and work in a cool, wet environment. Hard-Cooking
Sealer Responsibilities:
To seal each hard cooked bag after being filled. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
repetitively, stand for entire shift and work in a cool, wet environment. Hard-Cooking
Cooker Responsibilities
include maintaining continuous flow of eggs into the cooker for transfer to cooling
tank. Keep accurate production data records for all cooked eggs. Must be able
to lift 40 lbs. repetitively, stand for entire shift and work in a cool, wet environment. Hard-Cooking
Deviled Eggs Responsibilities:
Processing of deviled eggs, which may include packaging of egg halves in pouches,
and preparation and packaging of deviled egg filling. Must be able to lift
40 lbs. repetitively, stand for entire shift and work in a cool, wet environment. |
